Coronavirus: EU measures to support the economy

The European Commission has announced measures to support Europeans and the European economy in this time of crisis. State aid rules are made more flexible to counteract the shock and the General Escape Clause has been triggered along with relaxation of the budgetary rules for states to prop up their own economies.
